Fringe Cut Scissors

I have finally gotten around to using the Fringe Scissors from the Occasions Catalog this year.  I made a flower that is wrapped around a button.  Not too shabby but just a quick easy card to send thanks to someone that I needed to thank.  Colors are Crisp Cantaloupe and Melon Mambo.  Not a color combination that I use often, but I think it works.  Anywho, Hope you enjoy!
Until next time,
Hugs,
Alicia

The New InColors for 2014-2016

Oh this is such an exciting time for those of us that are demonstrators for Stampin Up!  It is the build up and sneek peak of products that are going to be in the new Annual Catalog that you can order from on June 2, 2014.  For those of you that have placed an order from me recently, I had mailed to you the brand spanking new Catalog.  You are going to love it!  Lots of different stamps and die cuts and embossing folders and the wonderful Blendabilities!  They are StampinUps answer to alcohol
markers, very similiar to Copics but much less expensive and really easy to learn how to use.
Of course, we have the new In colors for the next two years, so I decided to make some cards showing you the new colors in relation to some of the existing colors in the same color family.
These cards came together very quickly.  But I think they look sooo cool!  Great way to make a quick gift for someone.
First up are the new In Colors, Hello Honey, which is in the first card card middle row along with Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry.  Next is Tangelo Twist with Pumpkin Pie and Tangerine Tango. Last is Lost Lagoon with  Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay:
Next are the two remaining In Colors, Mossy Green, with Old Olive and Always Artichoke and Blackberry Bliss with Elegant Eggplant and Rich Razzleberry:

Since I had all these cute thank you cards, and needed a quick gift for someone, I put them in the plastic envelope box with a bellyband made of all the colors.  And there you go...a cute gift.

Hope you like!
Until next time,
Hugs,
Alicia

My other Love....

Yes, I know. I haven't posted in a week or so.  Been busy with the shower and birth of my great grandson, Gabriel, who was born on May 16th, a little early but he is fine and Mom and Dad are doing good. I already love him so.  Hard to believe that I am a great already!  Where has the time gone?  Anyhow, I decided to share with you some Tim Holtz Tags that I did last year and don't believe I have had a chance to share so here goes.  For those of you that are not familiar with Tim, he does a tag a month show casing a new or different take on a technique.  I have always loved his style, even though it is different than Stampin Up.  I think that is what I like about it, it challenges me.
I have only done the first six from last year to show you.  I decided to put them in his book cover that is sold under his name.  I cut cardboard "pages" to attach the tags to.   There will be a second book just like this one that will have the last 6 months in it when I do them.  First up is the book:
Next is the January 2013 tag.  For directions on how this is done, please visit Tim Holtz Blog:

February and March Tags:
April and May Tags:
And finally June 2013 Tag:
Thanks for looking!
Until next time,
Hugs

Hello Sailor-Red, White, and Blue!

Love how this card turned out!  The saying was stamped in MDS and printed out on white paper.  Then cut out with the smallest Deco Label Framelits.  I cut out two more framelits in corresponding sizes.  The background is a cool technique that I learned from a project in Paper Crafters Sampler.
Quite easy, but a little time consuming.  Hope you like..Made me feel like a sailor with all the colors.
Until next time,
Hugs,
Alicia

Hello Sailor Stamp Set-MDS

Ok...I admit I do not own this stamp set as a stamp but with the magic of MDS (My Digital Studio) I can make hybrid cards (part digital and real items together) and scrapbook pages using the stamp set and papers that are available for download.  Here I opened the stamp set up in MDS and stamped the saying onto a card front, changed the color to Smoky Slate and prinited it out.  Then did the same for the top portion of the card that used the DSP that goes with this stamp set.    I attached the
front to a Smoky Slate card base and added real red card stock and a basic metal button with a bow tied with white Baker's twine.  Another easy card to make when time is short.  Hope you like, Until next time,
Hugs

Ampersand 3

Super easy card to make!  Simply ran the Real Red Coordinations paper ( I love that stuff and hate that it is retiring) through the embossing and sanded around it and the edges.  Typed the words on computer and printed out and cut and attached to front.  What could be easier???  Hope you like,  Until next time,

Alicia

Ampersand 2

Here is second Ampersand Embossing folder card...
I embossed the Ampersand on watercolor paper.  Then took some Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight ink and spread it around on top of the symbol using the Aqua painter.  Used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp to stamp some dots in the same color ink.  On the inside I used the Feels Good Stamp that says
The Best Things in Life are not things..... Oh, I framed the watercolor page in Pumpkin Pie cardstock and attached them both to Naturals Ivory Cardstock.  Hope you like, Until next time,
Hugs,
Alicia
