Ampersand 1

I am busy this week trying to use all my goodies that I haven't yet.  I ran across this embossing folder--Ampersand.  I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it but starting looking at Pinterest and came across three different ideas.  So this is is the first of them..
You know from some previous posts that I love the Gold Foil Paper.  I pulled it out and this is what I came up with!  Kind of a fancy thank you card!  The stamps set used is Fabulous Phrases which is gold embossed and the cardstock is the Gold cardstock in the main Caddie.   Gold, Gold Gold  everywhere! Hope you like, until next time,
Hugs,
Alicia

Hexagon Hive

Finally got around to using the Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die.  Cut out the hive with Naturals Ivory C/S.  Then cut off some of the hive hexagons until I like how it looked.  Inked edges in Soft Suede.  Then cut out another hive in crushed curry, sponged the edges of them and attached to several hexagons.  The bee is a non Stampin Up stamp.  I really liked the style of it.  Did fussy cutting around it.  Used the crushed curry pen to fill in some color on its back.  Attached with dimensional.  Put some random pearls around and there you go!  Hope you like,
Until next time, Hugs

Here is my last offering for the Simple Stems Stamp Set for now.  I know that I won't be getting rid of that stamp set since I love it so!
I cut the flowers out three times and then cut out the layers and added dimensionals on them. Needed a little bling, so added the sequins and pearls to their centers. I finally dusted of my Oh Film Framelits and used it too!  Even made an envie for it so I could mail it.  Been using my envelope punch board a lot lately.
Hope you enjoy!  Until next time,
Hugs,
Alicia

Simple Stems 4

This card is a pretty simple card to make.  It has Kaleidoscope DSP, Simple Stems Stamp, and a  White Tea Lace Doilie that I sprayed with back ink.  Really like how it turned and the contrast of the Black and White against the Coastal Cabana, Tempting Turquoise, and Pacific Point.
What ya think?  Until next time,
Hugs, Alicia

Simple Stems 2

Using MDS and the Silhouette E-cutter
I have been wanting to find an inspiration to use my Silhouette and boy did I find it at
Connie Collins Blog, Constantly Stamping!  She has a video to show you how to use the chevron stamp in the geometrical mds download to make a full Chevron background .  After following the video, I made two different cards, both of which I really like!  In  both cards, the Chevron was cut out of black cardstock and placed on a whisper white card base with the simple stems stamp set for the flowers.  The saying on both cards are from the geometrical stamp set.  The second just has different colors and saying.  Why not give it a try?  Really cute idea.  I kind of got carried away and made several Chevron backgrounds, which you will see in later posts. Here they both are.  I just HAD to make envie insets to match!  KWIM.

Hope you jave a great day!  Until next time,
Hugs,

Simple Stems 1

Here is the first offering from the Simple Stems stamp set.  I loved the way this card looks with the Ombre technique.  This is a true case from Jeanna Bohanon.  I thought of changing the colors, but just liked it so much I kept them all.  If you are not familiar with the Ombre technique, it is truly simple, just graduated colors of ink up the page or shape.  This one was done with Crisp Cantaloupe Ink and a blender pen on Very Vanilla cardstock.  I embossed the Stamp Set with Gold embossing powder, which gave it some bling.  Also made an envelope to go with it out of Crisp Cantaloupe and the envelope punch board.  Below are ingredients:
Stamp Set: Photopolymer Countless Sayings 2
Ink:  Crisp Cantaloupe, Blushing Bride, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz
Cardstock:  Very Vanilla, Crisp Cantaloupe
Other:  Pearls, Secret Garden Framelits, and Gold Bakers Twine
Hope you enjoy!

Alicia

Hoppy Easter!

Somehow, even with Easter being late this year, it has caught me off guard again!
So it looks like this will be my lonely offering for you this year.  I finally put ink to the Eggstra Spectacular stamp set, which by way, I am keeping in my stash, even  though it may retire at the end of  May.  Got a lot of good Easter designs in it.  Ok here goes with the project.

I decided to do cute little note cards that I put in our Kraft Gift box that I covered with DSP of each of the colors I used in the cards.  I then sprayed pistachio pudding ink over the natural ribbon.  Also made some cute little envies with the envelope punch board. These were easy to make and assemble and would make a cute gift to give someone.  Below are ingredients.
Hope you enjoy until next time,
Hugs,
Alicia
Stamp set:  Eggstra Spectacular
Cardstock and Ink:   Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding, Primrose Petals, Summer  Starfruit (gonna miss you!),Crisp Cantaloupe
DSP:  all the dsp from the above colors

Spring has Sprung!

Even though the temps are still chilly here,at least, the beautiful flowers and trees have finally bloomed!  AND they are really pretty this year.  I got a chance to take a bunch of pictures and thought I would share one with you..  I call it Bumble Bee in the Azaleas in our back yard.  Hope you like.
After taking flower pictures, I was inspired to make some flower themed cards so over the next several days, I will be sharing these with you.  BUT before I do, I made one lonely little Easter project that I will share with you tomorrow.  Until then,
Hugs,
Alicia

Golden Happy Watercolor

Loving the Happy Watercolor Stamp set.  Have had fun making different kinds of cards with this stamp and probably wont be getting rid of it even after it retires!  This is a pretty straight forward card.  It has a smokey slate card base with gold foil on next layer.  The next is whisper white stamped with the flower in stazon ink and 3 smokey slate grunge marks.  The sentiment is stamped in gold encore ink and embossed with gold embossing powder..  Then I stamped the flower with Stazon ink on the gold foil card stock.   Fussy cut it out and stacked it up with dimensionals.  Really classes it up, don't you think?  Had to add a little more bling with the gold sequins.  Hope you enjou.  Until next time,
Hugs,
 Alicia

Golden Gift Box

Continuing onward with my gold kick week, I have a cute gold topped box for you to make.
To make the gold foil box top for the Tag a bag giftbox, cut gold foil 4 5/16 and 6 7/8 and score 1 inch on long side.  Cut a 16 inch of Gold Sequin Trim.  Cut striped vellum square 4 1/2 by 4 1/2. Cut flower with #4 Floral Frames Collection Framelit(I number from smallest to largest).
Cut polka dot vellum square 3 1/2 by 3 1/2.  Then use the #3 framelit to cut flower out.  Punch pansy vellum flower and smaller flower.  Thread some gold bakers twine through holes in the faceted button.  Tie a bow.  Make a tag out of white scrap paper and pin to bakers twine.  Assemble box. Fold belly band, made from Watercolor Wonder DSP, 2 x 10 ".  Then put four dimensionals on top and loop sequins around on dimensionals.  Assemble flower and lay on top of the dimensionals.  Now do I really want to give this away?  Hope you enjoy.
Until next time,
Hugs

Gold Favor

This is a cute and really quick little envelope that you can put Ghirardelli Squares in for favors.  All you need to do is make an envelope for a 3x3 envelope on the envelope punch board.  fold on fold lines.  Put candy in and then secure with a glue dot so that it will be disguised under the bow.
For the box punch 3 ovals.  Put mini glue dots on each small end of the two ovals.  Fold gently and adhere ends together to form loops of the bow.  Fold the third oval in half and cut V  in folded edge ti create to the ends of the bow, one for each side.  Attach bow and ends together with glue dots and then attach to front flap.  Viola!  You have a cute gold favor to give to someone special.  Until next time

Alicia

Gold, Gold Gold!

In this card I used the Fancy Foil Vellum and back it with the gold foil.  Love these two together!  Since I always have some issues with attaching vellum and the card base is made from vellum, I decided to get out my trusty old sewing machine and sew the gold foil to the card base front.  Worked like a charm and solved th problem, plus I got to use my machine which has been terribly neglected lately.  I punched the butterfly out and embossed the thanks in gold embossing powder.  Yummy!  And let's not forget the cute Gold Sequin Trim on the butterfly!
Hope you enjoy until next time,
Hugs,
Alicia

Gold Week..People like you

Here is a cute box that holds four note cards and would be a really nice gift for someone.  This box really interested  me  because of the way you can sit it up on your desk and have cards really handy to send.  I saw this on pinterest and just had to give it a try.  It really didnt take long to make.  The directions for this and the cards are found at JustFunStamping.com.  Hope you like these.  I am really getting into the gold craze as you will see more of it this week.  Until next time,

Good as Gold

This is the last of the 3 gifts that I needed.  I was able to get the free Sale-a-bration Good as Gold gift card set and decided to use it.  Again this was one of those projects that took so little time but looks really good.  The pictures don't really do the cards justice.  They really turned out cute.  Well, at least I thought so!  Of course, I needed a card holder and once again, pulled out my envelope punch board and made a quick box same as I did in my previous post for the white notecards.  I tell ya, I LOVE that punch board and find that I am using it all the time. Another tool that I have found that I am using are the envelope liners framelits.  I love the look that it gives the envelope with the card.
You might want to check these out in my online store.  Just click on the catalogs on the left and they will take you there.  Hope you enjoy.  Until next time,
Hugs,
