Catalog Cases-Happy Hooray

On page 145 in the new catalog, there is a cute Thanks notebook shown at the bottom of the page.  It caught my eye, so decided I decided to make a card out of it.  I pretty much followed the recipe shown for it except for the notebook and cellophane bag.  I used the  the retired Modern Medley DSP for the card front and envelope liner.  Another thing that I found I love are the new Dots and Strips Masks.  Best ones I have ever used, hands down!  Hope you like.  What cards or projects have you cased from the catalog?  Would love to see them.  Until next time,
Hugs,
Alicia

Lots and Lots of Cards

This post is going to show you how busy I really have been making cards!  Even had holders indicating what the cards are.  These were made from a kit that I bought from another SU demonstrator, AlyStamps, and just changed some of the stamps out to say what I wanted it to say.  I give away more thank yous and Happy Birthdays than anything so this is what they are.  Also the boxes holding the cards are the plastic ones that SU sells for its wood stamps.  The sleeves on the front were made by the same SU demonstrator and she sent them along with the card bases.  Thought it was a good idea and look at all the cards I now have!
Hope you enjoy!
Until next time,

Endless Birthday Wishes

Boy, do I love this stamp set.  It is currently not available because it pretty much sold out overnight, but we are told it will be available again.  Just keep watching my store for availability.  These two cards came together very quickly, seems like everything has to be quick these days.  Again saw these or similar ones on Pinterest and decided these would do.  For the first one, I used the Work of Art stamp set with the watercolor image in the center then added the polka dot stamp image from the Endless Birthday Wishes set along with the sentient and the cake image.  The only tricky part was cutting the cake image out and popping up with dimensionals. Pretty easy to copy.  Hope you like:
The second one is so quick, it is hands down the quickest card I have made in quite awhile.  I used the Work of Art stamp set (Chevron),  inked it, off stamped it once then using a very light pressure.
the rest came together easy peasy!
If you ever are in hurry to get some birthday cards out, these are the answer!  Hope you enjoy!
Until next time,
Alicia

Fabulous Bag

I needed a quick cute bag for a gift for someone special so I made this larger version of a "Box in a Bag". I saw this one on Heidi Klum's blog and knew this was it!  Here are the directions for how the bag was made.  I did change the ribbon but pretty much used everything she did since I was in a rush to finish and get to the person it was intented for.  Here is the picture of it:  Hope you enjoy!  Until next time, Hugs,

Blended Blooms 3

Here is my last card that I did when I was playing with my Blendabilities.  This one turned out exactly as I intended it to.  The Blendabilities make it so easy to look like you know how to color.  I used the Cherry Cobbler group on this bloom. Hope you like.  Until next time,

Blended Blooms 2

I had so much fun with the Blendabilities that I just kept on playing.  Below are two cards that I colored using the Pumpkin Pie assortment again and then the Rich Razzleberry assortment on the second one.  Notice that I also colored the rhinestones with the same color as the flower.  The base of the card is basic grey.  The back ground is the dictionary stamp.  Hope you like and it gives you some inspiration.  Until next time,
Hugs,
Alicia

Blended Bloom 1

Well, I finally had an opportunity to play with my new Blendabilites!  They are not available yet to anyone that is not a demonstrator but we have been told that hopefully soon they will be.  You must check them out when they become available.  So much fun to play with.  My first attempt is the card below.  The base of the card is Crumb Cake cardstock. To get the strips, I put some washi tape on the diagonal and sponged some white ink in between the lines and there you go.  When ink is dry, just pull off the tape to form the lines.  For the bloom, I used the Pumpkin Pie assortment of the belndabilities.  They are so easy to use as the colors are light, medium and dark.  I did discover that a light hand is better since you can do this on the whisper white cardstock.  If you use a heavier hand, the cardstock tends to pile up some.  Anyway, hope you like.  Until next time,
Hugs,
