Rue Des Fleurs

I know that I haven't been blogging much lately but have had a busy and difficult summer.  So I decided to get busy and make some cards from a retired stamp set that for some reason I never really used.  There are several cards and a cute box to hold the little 3x3 ones. For the full size cards I made an old standby card holder that I make when I can't seem to come up with any others.  Hope you like.
This is the box to hold the 3x3 cards.  It is made with the retired die cut party box but still have.  Just can't seem to get rid of retired die cuts for some reason!

Above are 2 cute cards that fit inside of the box

These cards were made with the retired DSP, Established Elegance.  Below is the holder I made for the cards.

Hope you like.  Until next time,  Hugs  Alicia

Thank You Cards

Have been super busy making cards and more cards!  Below are some of the thank you cards that I have made to send to relatives in Oregon.  We recently went out to visit and I wanted to make some cards to send.  First one is made with the stamp set Seasonal Sayings and some retired ribbon and paper.  Loved this ribbon and am so sorry to see it go!
Next up is made with the You're Amazing stamp set and the World Spectacular DSP (retires today!).
The cute little banner is made from the stickers in the This and That Epic Day product line.  Also used some of the awesome canvas creations, which I ragged up the ends on!..And last but not least is the Bakers Twine all tied up.
Lastly, I had to make a card that had this paper technique in it.  I have seen this all the net and wanted to try it, so here it is.  It is actually pretty easy.  Just cut the strips of paper andlay them one over the other on a piece of cardstock.  Then, turn the card over and trim.  Easy! The DSP is from the old Brights Stack, Sunshine and Sprinkles and Summer Smooches.  The stamp sets are Spring Sampler and Wacky Wishes.
While I know most of these have been made with retired products, thought you might still have some of these items and want to make one last thing with them!  Hope you enjoy and until next time, Hugs,
Alicia

Dress Up Framelits

Love, love, love this framelit!  Oh my gosh, it is like being a little girl and getting to play with paper dolls again.  I have had so much fun playing with this as you will see below.  First up is this cute little wooden purse that I saw at a big box store and just couldn't resist. So after much "fiddling" around with it I decided to use the dies on the front and the cute tags from the Pop Up Posies kit for the tags that I put inside.  The DSP is This and That that will be in the new catalog.

Next up is a CASE from Kimberly Van Diepen, whose style I love.  This frame has three diecuts in it.  I used the retired tulle for their dresses, which I heat set with the heat tool to give the dresses some bounce.
Last, but not least is a cute little canvas square frame that I have had and wanted to use.  So used the die cut  and cut a canvas form to cover to look like a dress form.  Die cut several fabric flowers and continued to add until I liked the effect.  So as you can see, I have been busy playing "paper dolls"!
Until next time,  Hugs,  Alicia

Feels Good Stamp Set

Well, I have not actually abandoned my blog, believe me!  It does appear like that but I really have been busy creating and trying to make sure that I am using all my stamp sets before the new Catalog goes live for all.  There is so much cool stuff in it that I knew I had better use what I have before I even attempt to start on the new stuff.  This stamp set is actually not retiring, but I had used it very little and wanted to ink it up a bit more.  The first card is done with the honeycomb embossing folder with the tag and flowers from the Pop Up Posies kit in the spring mini.  Love the sayings in this stamp set and will be using it a lot more.  Hope you like...
The next card is made with the same stamp set, but using the canvas that is in the spring mini.  By the way,if you have tried the canvas, you must.  It frays so well.  The DSP is from the This and That that will be in the new caddie.  It is a really cool DSP!  You will love it:)
This last card share is made with the beautiful gold cardstock that SU sells.  I have not used it in a awhile, so pulled it and looky what I made!  Love the dollies and the little flowers and all the cute embellish on this one.   I have actually already given this to someone.  Anyway, hope you have enjoyed my offerings today.  Until next time,  Hugs,  Alicia

Ears to You

Here two cute little treat holders that I made from ones that I had seen on Pinterest.  Thought they turned out soo cute.  It turns out like a pocket that you can put your candy bar into.  Very quick and easy.  Just take your choice of color for c/s 3 1/2 x 8.  Score at 2' and 2 1/2'.  Then take another color of choice 2' x 4 1/2'.  Run it through the Big Shot with the Honeycomb embossing folder..  Use your corner punch and punch upper right hand corner.  Glue to the bottom c/s on the right side. Cut a paper doily in half and glue it to the bottom c/s to overlap the embossed c/s.  Fold up your bottom where you scored it, then put another piece of emobssed c/s on the bottom.  To close, wrap your choice of ribbon or twine around and put your candy in it.  I decorated mine with the Ears To You stamp and the Labels Collection Framelits die cut.  Hope you enjoy. Hugs,
Alicia

Catching Up!

Whew!  Have I been busy.  Of course, you would never know it from reading my blog.  LOL!  Here it is the middle of April and I am just now posting my Easter projects!!!  What can I say, I do have a bunch of stuff to share with you so thought I would start where I left off.  Below are the Easter cards I made for this year, minus one design since I didn't take pictures of of it  :(.  So here is the first one.  It is made using the Secret Garden Stamp set.  I stamped the flowers on Calypso Coral c/s with VersaMark and then heat embossed with white embossing powder.  Each flower has three layers, and each is given more depth by coloring toward the centers with a blender pen and Raspberry Ripple Ink.  The background for the sentiment is stamped with En Francasis using Crumb Cake Ink.  The sentiment, Easter Blessing, is a single stamp from the Spring Catalog.  The sentiment was stamped in Early Espresso.  The card is then layered together using Raspberry Ripple c/s with Crumb Cake as the base.  Hope you enjoy.

All Dressed Up!

Here is the second card that I made using the Print Poetry DSP from the Spring Caddie. I really have fell in love with the dress form framelits.  Wasn't real sure about them when I first saw them, but as does a lot of Stampin Up's items, I have been  converted.  I have been playing with it for a couple of days now and have some really cute things to share later.  For now, I cut the dress form out and followed some directions on how to make a dress using the Pop Up Posies kit.  The skirt was made using the white cupcake holder in that kit.  I sprayed it with the champagne shimmer spray.  Hope you like.  I made this for my granddaughter that I always call Pretty Lady. Until next time, Hugs,
Alicia

Print Poetry DSP meets Secret Garden

Once I actually opened up the pack of Print Poetry DSP, I found that I really liked all the prints so sat down and made not one but two cards with some of it.  The first one is used the Secret Garden Stamp Set and framelit set that matches.  Thought it turned out really cute and colorful!  What do you think?  I also love the saying on the front of the card that is from the Feels Good Stamp Set.  Hope you like.  Will share the other one that I made tomorrow.  Until then. Hugs,
Alicia

Goodbye Sale-a-bration!

Sure have enjoyed using all the free goodies this time in Sale-a-bration.  I have some shares with you from the Happy Hello Simply Sent kit. Love the fact that I was able to get so many things made from it.  Hope you enjoy. First up is a cute box that I made and then made some cute little 3x3 cards to put in it.  Next I made a card holder and 4 different cards to put inside as a gift.  Last was just one simple envelope that I folded on each side and added a belly band around it.  Would work great as a gift card holder.  So you can see that I used it all!!  Hope you enjoy and if you are still wondering what to do with this kit, maybe making one of these items will help.  Until next time,
Hugs,
Alicia

Patterend Occasions/Bloomin Marvelous

Whew!  Have I been busy geting ready to say goodbye to all the Sale-a-bration goodies!  The two items that I am sharing with you today, are both alike but different stamp sets.  I really love the pink ribbon in the Spring Caddie too!
First up are some cute 3x3 cards that were made with the Patterend Occasions Stamp Set, Print Poetry DSP and the Kraft boxes from the Annual Caddie.  Didn't they turn out cute, even if I think so myself!

Next up is the same idea, but with a different stamp set, Bloomin Marvelous.  I used the same DSP and retired stripe ribbon. Which by the way, I still love!  I think from now on, I am going to make these cute little gift boxes to give away as gifts.  It really is a quick and easy way to give someone something special!  Hope you have enjoyed. Until next time,  Hugs,
Alicia

Feeling Sentimental

This is another one of my favorite stamp sets from the Sale-a-bration freebies.  As I was looking at Pinterest the other day, I ran across a red telephone booth and just loved it.  So decided that I would try and recreate it.  Used the Honeycomb embossing folder for background.  Stamped the booth on my favorite DSP, Newsprint.  Really like it.  Hope you do too!  Until next time.  Hugs,
Alicia

Pretty Petites 2

Here is a card that I made with the Pretty Petites Stamp Set that is FREE during Sale-a-bration this year.  I must say that I will be keeping this set along with the petite Curly Label Punch.  I find that these together make a really fast and cute card or set of cards.  Pretty simple card but really love the midnight muse color.  It is a really dark blue that just pops with white.  Hope you enjoy.  Until next time, Hugs.

Next up is a cute card that I made with the Pretty Petites Stamp Set and the Hearts a Flutter framelits dies and stamp set.

Pretty Petites

Next up for my share with the Sale-a-bration goodies is the stamp set, Pretty Petites.  I must admit that when I first saw this stamp set, I wasn't really impressed but it has grown on me, especially when you pair it with the Petite Curly Label Punch.  If you think that you might like these, better hurry.  Sale-a-bration is coming to an end on March 22, never to be seen again.    The share I have turned out really cute.  Saw the cute little note cards in my browsing of the web, and of course, didn't mark it, so these are my examples.  The cute little box is just a box that I have made for 3x3 note cards for quite a long while.  I think that if you look through SCS, you can find one similar. The cute little cards are made by cutting white c/s 3" by 7" and scoring at 1 1/2" and 4 1/4"  folding over and then stamp a cute little saying from the Pretty Petites and put a dimensional under to catch the top fold. Easy Peasy!  Well, here they are.  Hope you enjoy.  Until next time,  Hugs,
Alicia
Next I have this cute card made again with Pretty Petities and the Petite Curly Label Punch.Again a pretty easy card to put together.
