My Friend Stamp Set 2 and 3

As promised, I am posting 2 more cards that I made with the "My Friend Stamp Set".
The first one is an easy card to make, mostly just layers.  But one little detail that I really like is the new In Color Dahlias.  The one I used is the summer starfruit because that is my favorite new color.  Here it is:
Now for the second one that I made, I really like how this one turned out.  I used the fancy fan embossing folder on the top curved piece.  To color it, I just swiped my tempting turquoise ink pad on the top folder and ran it thru the Big Shot.  Pretty cool looking.
The flags were punched with the pennant punch .  The flower blossom  was punched with the Blossom Bouquet Punch.  I added the new vintage faceted button on the flower.  Well, hope you like what I have created with this stamp set.  Here is the picture:
Until next time,

Alicia

My Friend Stamp Set

As I was looking through my stamp sets, I realized that I have several that have not seen ink.  Well, that can't just happen, so I am making "pretties" with them along with some of my other stamps also,  The first one, is the above stamp set, which I thought I would really love but somehow it got buried under some others.  Anyway, I used the new In Color cardstock for this card.  Love these new colors.  They are so rich looking.  I took a scallop punch on the last rectangle and punched out half of the scallop circle.  Then stamped my sentiment in the center.  I used my embossing buddy before I stamped and embossed the flowers.  Love that embossing buddy!  I made two other cards that I will share tomorrow with the same stamp.  Hope you like!  Until the next time,
Hugs,
Alicia

Summer Smooches Bag and Twitterpated Hat

Ok, I know that you cant believe that I am posting 2 days in a row, but I promised I would do better so here are two projects that I did complete this summer and I must say I really enjoyed making them both.  They were really easy to make and helped me use some of the fabric that SU sells.  I buy but have a tendency to hoard it for some reason. LOL!
Anyway, here is the bag.  I will say that it took all the fabric from one box to complete it.
Now here is the hat made with the twitterpated fabric and the fancy folds die cut.  Cute and came together really quick.  This is a project that was featured in the Project Central series.  Hope you like!  Leave me a comment and let me know.
Thanks for looking and until next time,
Hugs,
Alicia

Pinwheel Wreath

Well, I know that it has been quite a while since I have posted but truth is I have had a very busy summer!  I have been sliding in some "me" time with my crafty stuff though.  I wanted to share with you a cute wreath that I made back in June and meant to post and life just got busy.  So here it is.  I loved making this and it came together really quick.  I made it with some StampinUp Designer Paper that has retired but you could make it with any type of paper that your heart desires.  I cut several 6x6 squares and 4x4 squares and some 2x2 sqaures  to make the pinwheels.   If you aren't sure how to make the pinwheels, just use your search engine and type in how to make paper pinwheels. Then I attached them to a wreath  that I bought at a big box store with hot glue.  Super cute and easy to do.  Give a try if you happen to have some extra paper lying around!

This was not my original idea.  I saw it on Kimberly's blog Stampin by the Sea and really liked it. So gave it a try. Now that "school" is back in I hope to be able to post more.  Until the next time
Hugs,
Alicia
