Wishing you a Merry Christmas

This card was inspired by one similar to it in a magazine I saw.  Of course, I don't remember the one but thought this would be a quick easy card to do, especially if time is running short, as it always is with me!  Hope your Holiday season is going well.  :)

Stamp Set:  Jolly Old St.Nick
C/S:  Crumb Cake, Soft Suede
Ink:  Real Red

Christmas Decor Elements Gifts

Ok so I know I haven't posted in awhile.  Christmas has got me busy this year but I did want to show you some cute and quick gifts I made.  This is my first try at the Decor Elements and I have to say they are really easy to use and I love how they turned out!  The first one is a plate that I got at a discount store for a very reasonable price.  I then rubbed the tree out of the Candy Cane decor element sheet on the front.  The ribbon is some real red that I had(retired ).  The cute little tag is stamped with A Cute Christmas Stamp set, then water colored with the ink listed below.  Couldn't stop there so I had to put the glitter around it to give it some pizazz.  I got the idea from the video on the StampinUp demo website and pretty CASED it except that I put the ribbon on it and a cute card with a yummy chocolate chip cookie recipe inside.  I also made a smaller plate with a blueberry muffin recipe inside the card.  These were really quick and easy to do for that last minute gift you may need.  Tell me what you think.  Thanks for looking.

A Christmas Wish

Below is a card that I made using vintage type items. I love using ribbon on my cards but wanted to try something a little different for me.  I used both the cherry cobbler seam binding ribbon and the chantilly crochet trim together and like the results.  I sewed a length of thread and then pulled it to make it looked all scrunched up!  Tell me what you think.  I also loved the tree in glitter.  Reminder of a era gone by.  Thanks for looking!

Ribbon Tree

While my thumb is still healing from cutting it and having 6 stitches on the tip of it, I made this cute ribbon tree that I wanted to share with you.  Hope you like.

I cut 5 inch pieces of ribbon and folded them  in half. Then attached them at the  open top with a straight pen to the tree.  Added some glitter flowers that I had to the top. Easy Peasy and helped with my withdrawals from not being able to make things!

Supplies
Styrofoam tree form
Old olive striped grosgrain ribbon
Red riding striped grosgrain ribbon

Tell me what you think! Used the Nite Owl DSP on the front then run it through the Big shot with the Spider Web Embossing Folder. Then used the distressing tool and sanded it. What a cool effect! It shows the web on the inside of the card. Give it a try. You just might like it!

Lola's Jewels

I have been very busy coming up with some creative cards and things so that I could have something to show on this blog..

The following is a box that I made with the Stampin Up Sizzix Matchbox Die cut.
Am loving the die cut machine! Made this box for one of my daughter's little chi's that she has.
They have way too much jewelry to keep up with.

The paper is retired paper that I was trying to use up and the ribbon is white satin. Hope you like. I cut three boxes and attached them together to have the box with drawers.
